Rays, Tyler Glasnow Agree To Extension

The Tampa Bay Rays have agreed to a contract extension with right-handed pitcher Tyler Glasnow through 2023, the team announced on Friday.

Glasnow, who was set to make $5.35 million in 2023, will get a significant raise to $25 million in 2024, a source confirmed to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

The Tampa Bay Times was first to report the value of Glasnow's deal for the 2024 season.

The Los Angeles Dodgers have agreed to a one-year, $13.5 million contract extension with Max Muncy.

The agreement includes a $10 million club option for 2024 with no buyout.

Muncy's option price can increase by $4 million based on plate appearances next year: $250,000 each for 50, 250, 300 and 350, $500,000 apiece for 400 and 450, and $1 million each for 500 and 550. He would get a one-time assignment bonus of $1 million if traded.

"This place means everything to me. There's not anywhere else that I'd rather play," Muncy, 32, said. "Hopefully, there's more after that."

The Atlanta Braves have agreed to an eight-year, $72 million contract extension with Michael Harris II.

The deal for Harris, 21, runs through the 2030 season and includes team options for 2031 ($15 million) and 2032 ($20 million).

He's the youngest player in the league, but is hitting  .287 with 12 home runs, 13 steals and 39 RBI in 71 games.
